Dr. Madison Huser

Optometrist

Dr. Huser is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma specialist. A native Texan, she graduated from The University of Texas in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from The University of Houston in May 2012. 

Dr. Huser completed internships in pediatrics, low vision and ocular disease. She especially enjoyed her rotation with the Department of Veteran Affairs in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she was able to focus on glaucoma, macular degeneration and dry eye disease.

Dr. Huser made Jackman Eye her home in 2014 and has since devoted her time to studying myopia management with a special interest in orthokeratology. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and is certified to design multiple brands of orthokeratology corneal reshaping devices.

When away from her work family she enjoys spending time with her husband, Freddy, two daughters and long runs on Town Lake.

Dr. Dee Tekell

Optometrist

Dee E. Tekell, O.D. is currently licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and is certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Tekell is a native, small-town Texan and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She received her Doctorate in Optometry with honors from the University Of Houston College Of Optometry in May 2012. She currently maintains active memberships in the Texas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Central Texas Optometric Society.

Dr. Tekell completed internships in pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease, with a heavy emphasis on glaucoma management. She is particularly interested in the fitting of scleral or hybrid specialty contact lenses for patients with conditions such as dry eye syndrome and keratoconus. Dr. Tekell is also certified to fit orthokeratology lenses, which are corneal reshaping devices that have proven effective in managing myopia progression.

When not at work, Dr. Tekell enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking with her goldendoodle puppy, listening to live music, trying new breweries, and playing Mario Kart.

Dr. Dea Satrio

Optometrist

Dea Satrio, O.D. is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. After growing up in Frisco, TX, she graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. in Science-Business and went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry Degree with honors from the University of Houston in 2018.

As part of her optometric education, Dr. Satrio completed internships in community clinics, a private practice, and a VA hospital which allowed her to gain experience in ocular disease, dry eye, and contact lenses. She then continued her education by completing a Cornea and Contact Lens residency in Boston, MA where she had the opportunity to work with patients at the New England College of Optometry, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and Boston Foundation for Sight.

Now at Jackman Eye, Dr. Satrio has a special interest in custom contact lenses designed for patients with conditions such as keratoconus, severe dry eye, and corneal transplants. She is also certified to fit orthokeratology lenses, which are custom rigid lenses designed to reshape the cornea and may be used to prevent myopia progression.

Outside the office, Dr. Satrio enjoys travelling, outdoor adventures, trying new cuisines, and watching college football.
