Myopia management

Orthokeratology (orthoK, GVSS) is a corrective process that provides daytime freedom from glasses and contacts. Special contact lenses are worn at night to correct vision, eliminating the need for correction in the day. Orthokeratology can be done on adults as a reversible alternative to LASIK as well as for children to slow down the progression of myopia or nearsightedness. Our doctors are certified to design multiple brands of orthokeratology lenses as well as completely custom designs for higher prescriptions.

Headache relief

When the eyes are out of sync, or misaligned, it puts higher demand on the visual system. This additional demand can put stress on the trigeminal nerve - the largest and most complex nerve connected to the brain, and the one responsible for head and neck sensations. The digital world has dramatically shifted how we use our vision, requiring us to see up close more frequently. With the increased demand on our visual system, the occurance of symptoms such as dry eye, headaches, neck pain, and digital eyestrain has signifigantly increased.

Keratoconus management

Advanced imaging and several completely custom options of lens design allow our doctors to restore vision and quality of life to our keratoconus patients. We also monitor for disease progression and discuss treatment options.

advanced ocular surface procedures FOR DRY EYES

EYE-LIGHT (IPL): This treatment consists of 5 painless shots around the eye and inferior eyelid. IPL seals leaky blood vessels that cause ocular inflammation and can decrease the bacterial and parasitic load on the skin and eyelids. IPL treatment may result in skin that is more firm and even in tone and texture.

LIPIFLOW: Lipiflow uses Vectored Thermal Pulsation to send heat pulse to the glands of the eyelids to warm and massage blockages from your meibomian glands.

LOW LEVEL LIGHT THERAPY (LLLT): Developed by NASA, LLLT uses specially designed LED lights to gently warm up the eyelids, causing the meibomian glands to unclog and release oils. LLLT may also decrease the appearance of facial wrinkles, acne and rosacea.
